How much would one cost?

Be careful what you buy and how much yo spent.

BE AWARE of:

Simple H2O 7 Stage reverse Osmosis

Going for about $3,000, I bought one, it’s not worth it not for that kind of money, any unit you buy, get a TDS meter as well and monitor the performance of you system to ensure you are getting what you paid for.

Again, Simple H2O 7 Stage Reverse Osmosis would not be my choice, for under $1000 you can get other systems that will perform just as well. Again get a TDS meter.

Did you buy yours from Bulk Reef, is it the one your warning us about, let us know.

I bought mine from Universal Air Corp. In London, Ontario, I believe they were in process of changing their name to “Pure Sences”.

But, various vendors could be selling this unit, so what you want is to stay away from name of the unit called ” Simple H2O 7 Stage reverse Osmosis System” Also sometimes called “Life Saver”.

Again, no matter what unit you get, get yourself a digital TDS meter and make sure you get the prformance you were promised. I got screwed and $3000 went down the drain.

SnapeMaster – we manufacture our own RO units and we are located in Minneapolis, MN. The units TadiR1 is talking about are made in Canada by some company called Universal Air Corp. We haven’t heard of them nor are we associated with them in any way.

drkingslend – these 4 stage RO units retail on our website for 129.99.

I just purchased the economy system off of you guys. I haven’t installed it yet, should I get the D/I addition as well? I have plans to use it to start a nano reef tank.

@willywalken DI is always a good idea . I would check and see what your TDS is coming out of the RO system . if it is more than a few points I would get the DI.

@TadiR1 – so by performance you mean that there are still toxins in the water and it is not removing 99.9% as they claim… im, about to buy a 4 Stage RO but want to be sure.. i live in oz..

Hi BRS,
I orderd the build your own system with the DI Resin in the 3rd stage instead of the 1 micron block and no 5th stage. What do you think of this setup? will/could I run into any problem?

13 BulkReefSupplyCom November 10, 2010 at 11:08 am

@imagonashootya as long as the DI comes after the membrane you will be fine
